What are we up to.....

For the past 2 years Levi & I have participated in the Plymouth Concert Band (a community band - but we actually have to pay to be in it!). We have our big concert next week " A night at the Opera" is our theme. Opera music is not my favorite - but playing it is much better than singing it! Marriage of Figaro (Mozart) and Candide by Bernstein and many others will be performed. I will be glad for our next concert to get here - we will be doing " a Night on Broadway" - much more enjoyable music. Our last concert was a "Night at the Movies" - Superman, and Pirates of the Caribean really made the crowd enjoy the concert. We have definetly learned a lot since the band is pretty high caliber - we ourselves don't claim to be the best and love to play in the 2nd and 3rd sections! It has also been good to interact with other musicians from around the community. There musical "lives" have been much different than ours - playing in bars and karoke, etc. Hopefully we can be a good testimony to them. So - that is what we are doing every Monday night in case you were wondering!

How fun to find you on the web (or actually I guess you found me) I remember those pictures! How funny - were we trying to condition our hair? Hmmm college girls late at night - crazy ideas are hatched. I can't wait to read more about you guys.

JAJ - how did you find us?? You won't tell on us will you!??!?! J/K. We weren't keeping the blog a secret - but it just happened and we have been busy so we haven't told many people. Don't take it personally!

OH my goodness! I have wondered so many times in the recent year. I was hoping that I would run into Levi's parents at alumni weekend so I could ask who and where you two were! I knew who would be invovled in the music world!

I am glad to see you have a blog so I can catch up on you two! Tell Levi Hi for me.

How COOL! I wish I played in the band!

I know what you mean about paying for it, because I used to be in community theatre and we had to pay. Plus pay for costumes, etc, etc. But it was fun!

Thanks for the link addage! Woo hoo!

Hey Shelly (and Levi),
Glad to see you're both still involved in music (like that would have ever changed!)
I'm not involved in any community groups, but did just find out I'm accompanying our Easter cantata this year at church.
Talk to you later
